I run 2 1/4" hookers on a 451 in a Duster. N/A single carb drag race engine. They are alittle cumbersome than today's TTIs. But at least 1/3 the cost. Probably higher savings these days.
It was a nice and fair comparison. Those Max Wedge manifolds are big. And adding 30# total is not as significant than 50ft/lbs torque increase. Headers of course would be better. But not enough to justify the costs in my opinion. It was always the opinion that in a stock or near stock build. The...
And thank you for posting concerns. And resolutions. TTI is one of very few legitimate header options. Thus all the response. Keep the pics and status update coming of new pipes?
The header make and design will certainly dictate installation. Newer custom TTI bolts right up. But say an older pair of Hookers? (Especially if larger pipes. And/or car options like AC?) You may need to pull motor mount pins to lift motor a bit to improve installation angle.
