I have had bumpers straightened and plated by Keystone in Minnesota. Pleased with them and the price , Not show chrome, but that was an option. and didn't have to pay shipping as they were picked up and delivered To a local body shop. Downside: it took several weeks to get them back. Last...
I had Graves plating do Motorcycle parts clear back in the early 70's . It wasn't show chrome, but it was so low priced , I could ship even larger parts , halfway across the country, and still was much lower priced than locals platers. ..................MO
I just ordered from SPI And it is just what I need. Buff color not available but white will work fine. They said a lot of sun won't hurt because it does have UV protection, and if it fades a little like black might, The white will not show it. Thanks for the help folks......MO
I think I saw , online, a epoxy that had UV protector in it. I have some good leads here, so I will check into it and report what I find......................MO
Bare, clean metal. I want to primer for now and drive this summer. Then paint this next Winter. I want Buff color. Do I need epoxy primer , which apparently comes in only grey on the bare metal, then top coated with the buff Urathane , or just use Buff color Urathane altogether? I don't...
I think the aftermarkets all come from the same manufacturer and distributed to dealers. They will work, but you have to do exactly what the directions tell you. The channels that the plastic glides travel in MUST be clean. Use a paper punch to make the holes for the plastic guide pins. I...
Iverson Automotive in Minneapolis Or St Paul Mn. He has a website that explains a lot of the process. Expensive, and could take a few months But I don't think there could be any better. He did a piece for me that had many pits.. Kept his word on price and when it would be done......... MO
About a month ago, AMD was out of stock of gaskets for 1968 Plymouth B body. I don't know where the installer got the new gasket, but he said it fit well. For no more than they cost, I would always use a new gasket..................MO.
I had leaks in both lower corners of a new windshield, brand unknown because a glass company put it in. I didn't like the grey tint, so we got a new one from AMD. A better glass installer said the first glass was not thick enough and didn't fit the gasket well. He was quite impressed with the...
Be careful about buying windshield for classic cars. Some are less thick than stock, and the gasket does not fit well. Also if you want tinted , some are grey at the top and don't look right.................................MO
If you are talking about the roof rail seals that go into the channel that fastens with screws to the roof and are along the tops of the side windows ( the side windows seal against it with windows rolled up ) I can tell you there is a left and a right seal. You can get them crossed, but the...
I can tell you that the hole is so large (1968), that even the largest base aftermarket antennas will not be big enough. My stock one (1968) had a bad lead-in ( no continuity) And we were able to change the coax. Regular automotive coax will not work with the stock base, but my radio guy was...
I think "Hunt 2 elk" a member here on the forum does them..Not positive on that at all but someone on here does and has high recommendations.....................MO
I have my 68 Satty headlight bezels at Cuda Chicks ( Leanna) Was going to get mine anodized , but the only place I could find was Iverson's-Very expensive . Leanna told me she uses a clear paint that is the toughest she has been able to find. I don't remember the name of it, but she is...
1968 Roadrunner- Satellite...Grill and headlight bezels. Aluminum. Previously I had the stock anodizing stripped and parts polished. We sprayed clear coat on them in an effort to keep the aluminum shiney. Now the clear coat is peeling off . I would like to have them anodized, but they tell...
