    Best A/C Unit?

Vintage air has the installation instructions on their website. Takes some searching to find it. Seems to be pretty straight forward. Only problem we had with mine , was that it had factory air , and that is what my kit was ordered for. The comp. mount was wrong because the original one had...

    Low Cost AC Recommendations Please

My 68 Sport Satellite with 318 and factory air. Mine did not work when I bought the car. Even though the car was in great shape, the age of all the A/C components had taken it's toll. So much would have needed to be repaired or replaced that I am sure I would have more money in it than going...

    Vintage vs Classic air

The car with the coolest fresh air , no A/C/ , that I have ever had, was my 1956 Chrysler with the " pop up" fresh air intake just in front of the windshield. And it had a plenum where you could open or close a vent for the driver, and another for the passenger. It also had side window "wing"...

    Vintage vs Classic air

I'm not ready yet to order my complete A/C kit. Things I like about the Vintage air. ---They have a complete kit that replaces all the stock parts, under the hood and under the dash, for my 68 Satellight with factory air. The underhood hose routing and the inspection plate mounted bulkhead is...

    Vintage vs Classic air

If you go to the Vintage Air website, you can click on installation manual and it will show how it goes through the access panel. Not sure if their are photos of the hoses inside the fender well- going through the firewall. I would like to know that too as I am leaning towards the Vintage...

    air conditioning kits

I am thinking of going with that Vintage Air system , but a little skeptical about running the lines into the fender well and out through the alignment access hole. Where do the lines run into the fender well? Won't they be exposed to road debris? Pictures would sure help......................MO

    Vintage Air/Classic Air/ Original equipment

I have a 1968 Satellite with factory air , so it should have the pot metal piece you tell of? Can you tell me how to find one of those vents from Classic Auto Air? It doesn't show on their web site. Thanks for your help............MO

    Vintage Air/Classic Air/ Original equipment

Why do most factory A/C have outside air intake available? Is it to replace stale-smokey air? I noticed in the installation instructions online, that it appeared to have lines coming through the inner fender. Must be a bulkhead fitment thing? I didn't much care for that because doesn't it...

    Vintage Air/Classic Air/ Original equipment

I have decided to replace my factory air with Classic air complete kit. I don't care about being original, and why sink a lot of money into my stock one and still not have it work well. I will be interested in your progress. Please keep us up to date............................MO
