That is where I got mine too, as shown in the above picture. I am pleased with it . It has been on the grill for a few years now , and adhereing very well...................MO
I bought a 64 Plymouth with that same problem. I found that there were two light brown wires . One was power only when the ign switch was putting power to the starter, and the other was 12 volts all the time. The wrong one was hooked up to the ballast or coil. ................................MO
I'm going to guess, the tubes is why many need replaced. Not hard at all to break them off. And then when I formed my new tube to clear brackets, the new cheapo chrome stick is hard to get to go through the bend get seated fully on . Makes me now think , if my old dipstick is the same length...
I had the same problem finding one after mine got broken off at the block... Every source, and there weren't many, had the same dipstick. Chrome , which I didn't want, and all were straight which needed to be bent to clear brackets. Now it is hard to get the stick to go down the...
IIRC Totally Auto is no longer the source for that paint. It was taken over by another individual and the last time I got some, he had to have more mixed and packaged in the rattle can. That' s been about 2 years ago. I have his card somewhere , and a can of the paint... I will look for it...
I ordered a new 1968 Roadrunner when they came out mid year with the 2 dr hdtp and interior and exterior trim options. The 68 roadrunners had the belvedere- satellite grill ( which was bright anodized) but was finished in a medium dark argent textured paint ( not as dark as flat black) The...
I would use long bolts rather than head bolts.. grind or saw a slot in the end of the bolts so you can use a screw driver to get them back out.. Keep that trans as level as you can ......................MO
AGREED...
It's stuff like this that makes people not want to try and help on a technical question. I have just about quit trying to help out with what I have experienced because someone has to prove how much smarter they are than me.................MO
I got enough balls to answer you, I simply dis agreed with your statement. Get off your high horse. You want to want to defend your statement, OK. You don't have to get pissy about it. But I and several others knew exactly what he meant , because I had to deal with the same thing...
We had the exact same problem on my 68 Satty. Why the hell the factory couldn't put the access hole with the rubber plug directly in line with the allen head???? Had a hard time even finding which allen wrench to try. We wound up using a air hack saw that has the blade coming out the end...
Since you asked---- Today I saw a little newer RR with the bronze- white top combo. Didn't care much for it . IMO a black top would look good... BUT.. that car had a big white stripe on the side too......................MO
Why do people go to aftermarket kick down cables other than looking cleaner or not having all the linkage? I was skeptical to adjust my stock linkage because other folks had so many complaints about it. But I followed the factory service manual instructions, and it was fairly easy to...
I was following his posts. It was in California as I recall. . He got it home and was working on it. Don't remember how far he got , but it was one heck of a find. Guy didn't seem to know much about Mopars or what he had. My bet is someone offered him a few bucks and his enthusiasm was lost to...
The top tach with the chrome center knob---Those were sold by the company that bought out Sun. Sun Pro, I think. I had seen them advertised in several places a couple years ago. When I tried to get one , they were no longer available ANYWHERE. Not even old stock. I wondered if for some reason...
Looks a little to light to be QQ1 . I had a new 68 RR that was QQ1 with black vinyl top and I'm pretty sure it was darker. That is a one year only color. Trying to find that color to paint my current 68 Satty project. .......................MO
I didn't know there were 6 way power seats in our Mopars. how far back in years were they available. Older than 1970? I would like one for my 68 Satellite......................MO
