IMO tail pipes that do not go all the way past the rear bumper, are going to be louder to people inside the car. The floor will be like an amplifier. Echoing the sound waves between the floor and the road. Turn downs will probably be louder because they direct the sound waves toward the...
That's what I used on my stock 318 Satellite. If you like the sound of " glass paks" these are great. Fairly quiet and mellow till you get on the loud pedal , and then you get that familiar glasspak sound, but not harsh. . I have had compliments on it.....MO
I don't understand this Flowmaster " drone " so many talk about. We drove our 440 engine Dodge 691 miles a couple weeks ago. Super 44's with 2 -1/2" exhaust pipes , 2 - 1/4" tailpipes, stock Magnum ex. manifolds. X pipe. Boom mat and heat duct insulation under the carpet. 2250-2500 RPM. No...
Can you describe the difference in sound between an X pipe and a H pipe? ie: louder , quieter, mellower, deeper, tinney, echo, ? Thanks for a reply.................MO

Napa here said Dyno Max was same as Walker. $100 each and have to order, So that would be a wait, and get charged shipping. No thanks. O' Riley said $73 and get them over-night. ..........................MO
How did you choose the Dyno Max Super Turbo? I am considering those for my stock 318.
Dyno Max is sold by O'Rileys and NAPA in my area. If they don't have in stock, can get them next day.............................MO
Don't just " ditch it" There are people willing to pay good money for that big block 727. IIRC that is a cable shift, one year only trans. that is in demand by the earlier years Mopar guys..................................MO
I have FM Super 44's I also have Boom Matt and furnace duct insulation from firewall to back of rear seat . I like my Flowmasters and don't know what the "drone" is. I would like to know what the Dynomax's sound like for comparison. ..............................MO
I have Flowmaster Super 44's with 2 1/2" exhaust pipes , X pipe, 2" tailpipes , 440 engine. Boom matt and heat duct insulation from firewall to back of rear seat. full carpeting. What is this " drone" you all speak of? Love my Flowmasters and sure as heck ain't gonna scrap perfectly good...
Suppose the drone vs non drone issue has anything to do with how much and where sound deadner is used? I have Flowmaster Super 44's with all the cabin covered with " Boom Mat" and keep listening for that "drone" that a lot of people have talked about. I also wonder if larger exhaust pipe...
Hay Mike, Mo from 62-65 here
How do you ever make that decision? One says 3" no restriction, the other says ya gotta have some back pressure. One says H pipe, the other says X pipe. One says out past the bumper, the other says exit just in front of rear wheels. The magazines say what there...
