I’ve used duplicolor on black seat belts to bring them back from being faded. Came out excellent. Changing colors though, I’ve never tried that.

If I remember correctly, one of the companies that make trunk mats sells bulk material. Maybe you can make your own.

As far as a tool... you just need a hammer and solid steel surface like an anvil or vise.

I was agreeing with the tasks he mentioned. Obviously some things with auto restoration have to be sent out. But , the more you can learn and become skilled at, the less you have to send out. Some exceptions ARE plating , machine shop work and custom upholstery.

I have learned to do everything myself, rebuilt my septic tank, added an entire apartment to the upstairs in my shop, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing the list goes on. That’s the way to do it…..

After you get the dash installed…it’s funny how the original screws turn up one by one in the carpet pile ,seats etc.

It was tan on my 67 satellite wood grain wheel

I’ve had unrestored 67 s and 68s and the originals were fuzzy inside and out.

I’ve had good luck with 3M structural adhesive. Its two part and it can be sanded and painted.
