    8 and 3/4 swap

The FSM recommends changing the inner seals every time an axle shaft is removed. They're not expensive and you're already there.

    8 and 3/4 yolk

As noted above, we need to know if you're working on a 489 carrier? The other two "popular" carriers do not have a crush sleeve. No way to tell if someone was inside any carrier without opening it up. Many guys note the torque when loosening the yoke and add go right back or add a few to the...

    Clutch fan

It depends on what type it is. The thermostatic type varies with temp. These have a bi-metal coil on the front. The straight viscous ones don't. Both types should be fairly stiff when cold. Thermostatic spins a little more freely when roasting hot. If they spin really freely, it's time to...

Death came knocking and took my Coronet

Time to drop the pan. The front bolts can be hard to get to, but a 1/4" ratchet is usually small enough.

What makes a engine a magnum?

I believe the most prevalent answer would be: Camshaft, valve springs, exhaust manifold, carb, air cleaner. Most everything got 906 heads at one point in the late 60's.

What makes a engine a magnum?

Probably not. Why would they be disappointed with something they designed ? That's the way they wanted it. The mind set of the time was sales. Even in the late 60's early 70's there was a considerable portion of the population that was resistant to high performance culture. Our parents and...

Not sure where this vibration is coming from. .....

I had a odd vibration years ago on the start of 2nd just after the shift. A rebuild on my 727 with all new bushings cured that.

    And now another unwanted surprise!

I'd grind it out to the point of that crack at least. It WILL move with temperature change, likely a problem if it's not checked at least. The crack is there, you have nothing to lose by grinding it to the end.

Factory 4bbl Holley on the 440?

Usually the A/C cars got the factory Holleys for some reason. A few folks rob the throttle shaft and put them in bigger carbs for a "factory" look.

I have never seen this in my life unreal!!!

Tony just got it from some vendor, maybe same as Bouchellon or whoever. It's not like there's four or five different machines stamping out repo Mopar pulleys. Heck, there's likely only one. In China. I'll agree, he could refund or send another one. Then he'll have to go to his distributor...
