On the fence about using electric motor exhaust cut-outs. Any opinions are appreciated.

QTP’s. Long time reliability. Sound killer on the Big Block.

HP Manifolds vs TTI Headers ?

    Lighter.

HP Manifolds vs TTI Headers ?

    TTI’s. Lighter. Cooler.

Curing Muffler Drone - what muffler choice?

No hint of drone. Dynomax Superturbos behind TTI’s. Also behind the QTP’s. No resonator.

    TTI vs Summit or Jegs

Happy with TTI’s. Over ten years. Any scrape is the Collector and harmless. DON’T buy direct. I prefer Summit vs Jegs. I’d use a vendor here if I buy again.

    ELEC EXHAUST CUTOUTS

QTP’s. Reliable for 15 years. No butterfly issues. Can’t really see them. But if I had to do it again, I wouldn’t use the Bully’s. It was more raspy without them.

    TTI ?

Got the ceramic/coated headers about 13 years ago. Bought direct. $1k to the door. Should have used a vendor. Little ding LL do ya on the passenger side idler. They are still intact. It’s time again. I’ll be shopping. They’ve been soaked good with oil and slammed a couple times on...

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Jesus Chrysler. Who dug up this thread. Put Headers on it and be happy with the cooler temps and weight reduction. Stock schmock.

TTI headers too close to the passenger side torsion bar

Had a psgr side issue, IIRC think it was the idler. A little ding’ll do yah. Had no choice.

Looks like it's going to be headers.

TTI’s, 100 degrees cooler under hood temps than conventional manifolds confirmed by thermal temp gun many times. Real world for street cars. Check it yourself at the next August Car Show.

Looks like it's going to be headers.

Good decision. TTI. Ceramic coated. Less weight and heat. Get your wallet.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

See what you started? We’ve done this a few times over the years.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

90k street miles since headed install. No issues.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Still want to know WHO would not want less weight and heat? Headers bring both.
  15. Dennis H

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Just completed a 3000 mile road trip. Just don’t want anchors under the hood. Street car in the true sense.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Who wants the weight of factory manifolds? With headers and an aluminum bell housing, the SQUAT actually changed.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Think 2 1/2. Not 3”. Good clearance. The psgr side collector has scraped speed bumps, but rarely. Polished Ceramics were 1k to the door. 10 years ago.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Mine has the ceramic coated million dollar TTI’s. Under hood temperatures 100 degrees cooler with them. Weight savings huge.

HP exhaust manifold verses Header comparison

Weight and heat enough reason to go with headers for me.
  20. Dennis H

    Complete exhaust Replacement

Lessen the heat and weight. TTI’s (ceramic coat), followed by QTP’s, followed by Dynomax.
