At minute 20:45 the showroom mechanic giving the "tour" describes the Superbird nosecone as "all aluminum". Is the factory nose cone aluminum or is he saying it has a reproduction aluminum nose cone?
I tried to correct this "know it all" on the video he posted where he claims the front fender perforations are for tire clearance. When I posted a comment that was incorrect, the same guy came back with a reply that "Dodge" even said the slots were for tire clearance. I give up.
Has anyone really documented/proven these silly stories about dealers removing the Superbird nose and/or wing to make the new vehicle more sale-able? I just don't believe those stories to be true, but with adequate proof you can correct my misconceptions.
In storage somewhere I have what was advertised as a genuine factory Superbird front spoiler. How do I know for sure if I was sold the real thing? (I believe they are available as reproductions) Sorry, I don't have fotos of mine available at the moment.

Agreed!
My parents were offered a new yellow one ("left over") at Normandin's Chrysler Plymouth in San Jose, CAL when they went down there to order a new 1971 Road Runner back in the day.
Comments I found on Jay Leno's garage when he drove Jeff Dunham's vehicle:
"In the mid eighties, an older woman that worked at the local bank near where I lived in Orange City ,Fla., owned one. Try as I might, she would not sell me that car. I even offered to trade her my nearly new K car...
We know they sit on the wings for photo shoots, but I was wondering if any girls have purchased/owned a Daytona or Superbird (not with a partner/spouse/friend/significant other)? The time period doesn't matter: could be new off the showroom floor, in the past sometime, or current owner.
I saw three of the Superbirds at the same time filling up at the Chevron Station I worked at right out of high school (circa 1974). This was in Chualar, California (population 300 at the time). The drivers were all Mexican field workers (lettuce, tomatoes, etc.) and the birds were already...
Girls can sit on my cars anytime they want, as long as their round butts don't scratch the finish I will take my chances. Still looking for the first volunteer. Anybody out there?
