Michelin are my personal favorite, but my 72 Charger rides on cooper cobra, Ive had radial t/a’s as well all good just depends on your application and budget. All are good but Michelin pilot sport are soft! IMO
If you really like them send one out for test item. I don’t blame you at all I think old stuff is usually better and something about avoiding chinesium makes me happier even if it hits the wallet deeper..

Get a set of coopers and hit the road, if you want put them on a set of daily driver wheels and keep a set to swap back on with some poly glass tires for show duty.... not the cheapest way but then you got both!

Spacers take the hub out of the equation and stress wheel studs and bearings on the axle. I recommend not spacing it, make sure you have plenty of thread engagement or it could get ugly
The paint question is in regards to my Rallye wheels. The paint on the inside of the star center caps looks like a very flat silver or argent. The FSM doesn’t show another color for the center cap. I’m going to clean up and repaint them and want them to look right. I don’t know what the used on...
