Timken bearings are my favorite.. I believe Cass at Dr. Diff is one of the go to guys around here. Gears — idk I have old Richmond's that were good for me or oem gears.
Main thing is keep the car together .. don’t blow 50 years of good care taking, sell it and buy a manual or not a correct car. Everyone has a opinion just mine...
The term boat anchor doesn’t fit a 4.7, noisy *** valve train and just a very finicky engine with little to no nuts... boost the slant with a big turbo if you want to be unique...
You may consider bunching up that industrial stuff and donating or selling it. Governed engine stuff is hard to find. I’ve worked on Ford gas burners and it was unreal. I don’t know any sites to help move that kind of stuff though. Old fire trucks still use those in some areas. Just trying to help.

Transfer cases fail , chain gets real sloppy, those double cardan joints have tore up a lot of trucks because nobody greases them. On newer rams there is sticker on the lip of the lh fender telling you to grease it .. the 2013-2018 .
Me personally I’d just let the local qualified machine shop redo them .. You may get a new set on line and still rework them. If yours aren’t cracked they are still worthy. Cost is cost if your not into high performance. I’ve dealt with on line places and I can’t stand the headaches . If your...
I would bump up the compression and shoot for as much as possible, solid lifter cam and 273 adjustable rockers good heads and intake will help. They respond to improvements like a 340...
