Hmmm the great debate continues.. old versus new. It all depends on you, I personally don’t like a wet intake. If your system uses the old GM injectors on top it’s not much different than a carb. Easy starting maybe depending on tune, fuel economy maybe, clean cylinders possibly .. Burnt up...

Build the big block.. gen 3 is like a LS swap its over done . Just my 2cents not trying to piss ya off but if the epa makes the emissions laws pass you’ll be putting cats on in the future with testing.
Evap, purge solenoid vent can all needs to be there and registering that the system has no leaks.. as far as the fuel system goes. Cats must be functioning here if it came with them. I would expect the same out there.

The 9” has the most drag/ power loss of all diffs, the pinion is also very low in the case versus the 8&3/4, and that extra bearing is nothing much really also known as a pocket bearing.. Most 8&3/4 are factory built better from the get go, bigger bearings, add a back brace, buy premium gears...

The cars I drove with mustang 2/ pinto suspension drove horrible. If you want better handling start simple. I wouldn’t give up a oem suspension for a fab kit at all sure it’s lighter but what’s missing.. better handling starts at the tire, shock , front and rear sway bars , bigger torsion bar...
