I have a very Nice 1969 Air Cleaner with all the original paint still on it and presentable
with the "Coyote Duster" decal still intact on it. It has been in the
shop for 50 years.
This is a true 1969 Roadrunner Unit = the 1970 is a Different bottom as I seem to recall.
But I want $650 for it...
I looked it up to be sure:
4847 was a 1000 CFM aftermarket Competition series and never
on any production car. Big Primaries
4973S was a 71 Only 340 Automatic carb 750 CFM Carb. Small Primaries
This number car was recalled and replaced by the Dealership with 72 carbs
for drivability reasons...
I had a car dealership back then and I never saw these
numbers on any production cars or trucks.
I only found them aftermarket. I myself have never seen
on that was older than the 80's.
Just my experience.
Here are a very nice set of unmolested 340 "915" J heads in
original condition (Not Hot Tanked/Maged) that are complete with HP
springs retainers. I have a dozen plus sets that are disassembled and tested
but only three sets that are still assembled and complete.
$175 Delivered to San Diego.
I have most every 340/360/318/273 heads ever produced/
My good friend and top very well know Mopar engine builder gave them all to me to sell when he closed his shop
due to health reasons a couple months ago. Most are magged/pressure checked Hot tanked or acid washed. He
only saved the best...
I have 413 Industrial Block still standard and low use in an
Oil field.
Myself I have never seen a 426 Industrial block that was not a bored
413 block.
It is common to bore a 413 (industrial block) all the way to 440.
The 361 has a way way smaller bore. (4.125)
I would not every try to over bore them near that far to 383. (4.25)
That is a huge .125 difference in my opinion
I have a couple laying around and I will inspect them.
They show be very good as they came of the car in the 70s
when my 1970 Hemi Superbee got Fiberglass.
But I would need $100 plus shipping.
I am looking to buy Thermoquad Jets undrilled or modified.
1972 up:
143 / 147 / 149
1971 only
125 / 128 / 131 / 136
I have been precision drilling mine out for the last 50 years.
However, I worry about approach angles among other factors.
I would like to try some factory jets that are...
I am temporary removing the Dana 60 for the 8 3/4 for
the ease of changing the gear ratio between rounds of testing
the same day.
I have around 20 different spooled rear ends and suregrips rear ends for
the 8 3/4 housing. The integral housing are much more difficult
to change gear ratios at the...
70/71 C body Fury
67/69 Imperials are a 1/2 inch narrow and would
be close enough with a spool.
We split the case on our ROADRUNNER stocker / broke
the main caps off / locked it up and twisted the housing
like a pretzel.
I put in a Truck case Dana 60 but now need to change the
8 3/4 several...
