I have a 9.5 cr 400/ Eddie 4bbl and 727 in my 63 SF. Will be selling in next few months, if I can successfully stuff my 418 sonic ram in there. 12,000 miles and painted up nicely.
my 63 SF convert was a 318, now has a truck 400 from early 70's, 9.5 CR I think. Very strong, nice looking motor. It will come out this year as I have a 413 sonic ram motor to build and install. More details if you like.
Car was originally a 318, now 400, with a plan for 413 crossram. Current 0.88" bars are fine, but I would invest in good used bars of 0.92-1.00". Any out there? thanks!
Probably not what you want, but my 63SF vert came with these "wire" effect steel-chrome wheels. I didn't like them, bought standard steel 15x7, had them powder coated and mounted original looking radials. Then I cleaned and polished the wires, and they are quite attractive. Close up, some...
IMHO, lack of pax side mirror, as in my 63 SF, was derived from safety needs. In that era, passing on the right was illegal! Later, foolishly, the Feds mandated that all of us drive in all 3, 4, 5 lanes, with passing lane reserved for the slowest, most law-abiding citizen. Try passing on right...
Have discs to convert, want dual system. Also already have proportioner valve. Anybody have a rebuildable MC from early 70's? Discs are from 73 A body, going on my 63 Fury. Thanks.
Hoping the originals would hold pressure...not! Major pressure leak from pinhole in side. If you have one that moves at all, I would like to buy. New are scarce, and pricey. I think they are common in all 60s. Mine is 63 Sport Fury.
