1964 Sport Fury Throttle and Kickdown linkage HELP

I am not very mechanical. but I made an extension for my linkage to my Eddie from 1/4" x 24 threaded rod. works perfectly. The 24 tpi is unusual, I think i cut off a bolt.

A little more HP out of my 400

my 400 in my 63 SF is a 78, i looked up the compression: 8.25 (sad face). So...I have started buying 85 octane!! It has a mild cam upgrade and is more than sprightly! 3.23 rear. I probably won't upgrade it further, as it is fierce as it is!

    727 not shifting through gears

It is an Edelbrock, so y ou might need to adjust the length of the cable so it will shift and kickdown. E sells an adapter, i made my own with a 1/4x24 tpi rod and turnbuckle. shifts fine now.

B body "dimples" to accommodate sonic ram tubes?

Thanks for advice and dissuasion! Sonic rams came in a 60 Plymouth. Was that a wider body? Would a Max Wedge fit in with no engine compartment modification in my 63? Thanks again!!

B body "dimples" to accommodate sonic ram tubes?

I have a disassembled 64 413 sonic ram motor, from a K, that i plan to install in my 63 Sport Fury. I have been told that the factory bent down the sides of the engine compartment, by heating and dolly, so the ram tubes will fit. Any pictures, experience, advice? Thanks.

    727 shift points

i had same problem with Edel 1407, and added a "turnbuckle' extension made of the bi-threaded 1/4"x28 connector, and a cut-to length 1/4x28 bolt. Picture in this thread: https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/posts/911592712/

    727 shift points

Your connections at the carb look exactly like mine. I needed to extend the rod by inserting a 1/4"x28tpi section, like a turnbuckle. Edelbrock sells them. I went to my local hardware, bought a bi-threaded connector, and sawed off a 1/4x28 bolt to lenth. Then adjust it a few turns at a time, it...
