You might ask the Wizard @dadsbee - I’ve seen he’s posted on getting new studs. I switched mine over to all right hand during resto because the left hand idiosyncrasies of Mopar on this is a dying piece of knowledge and for future owners I handed them a break. I don’t remember where I got them….
If you’re talking about the “half leafs” that will give you another 2” in the rear by putting them on your stack - Summit has them. When I bought for the same reason they were $40.
I had the original design since back in the early 70’s. When I restored the car they needed replacing because of a long siesta in a pole barn in the upper Midwest. So I bought a whole new set. I had no idea there was a design change and didn’t sit there and compare apples to “apples”. To me they...
I bought those same tires only 15” and F60 and L60’s from Universal Vintage Tire in Ohio - it was a couple of years ago but you may want to check w/them. They specialize in the old stuff.
Yeah bro - too much for too little. If those tires are that old they’re nearly worthless IMO. Doesn’t matter how much thread. And 14” Cragars …. Meh. 15” is a different story. Good luck
I’m a RWL guy. But only like them if the letters are the small ones such as Goodyear polyglas tires from back in the day. You can still be them from Universal Vintage Tire in Ohio.
If you want the best look go with L60 RWL Goodyear sold thru Universal Vintage Tire in Ohio. They look awesome, period correct but a little pricey. THe ones I bought for my 68 GTX were polyglas for true back in the day looks. I put F60 x15 on the front. I love the look
My good buddy had a 67 that exact color back in the day. Unfortunately I don’t remember the wheels he had on it. Seems like it was not those little dogs
I never thought of this when buying the tires for my since sold GTX. And they were polyglas tires to boot. I think I’ll contact the guy I sold it too and alert him to check for his safety and the safety of his family. I’ll bet those tires were not current dates and were purchased about 5 years...
No way could I fit those under my 68 GTX - the 69 is basically the same car. I say that then I had a friend back in the day that fit 10” cragars under his 68. It’s all in the backspace. Sorry but I don’t know what it was.
I’d pass on the Plymouth decal too. Yes - you could remove it but need to take into account paint fade around it. Like we always say... it’s your car do as you like.... she’s a beauty.
If you go with the tires like mine - don’t buy them at Year One - they’ll gouge the **** out of you on shipping. I searched and found them at Universal Vintage Tire in Ohio. Price was okay and shipping was reasonable. They’re not cheap to buy though anywhere. But the look is great.
Yes it’s the drivers side that has the left had lugs. I wanted the old school look in spades so I put Goodyear polyglas RWL tires all the way around. L60x15 on the back and E60x15 on the front. Got 2 thumbs up from an appraiser on the look but most on here will tell you the new radials are a...
