68 Charger with 727.. not sure what year tranny is..but had a leak in gasket and pan rough shape ( like in bent and mangled some.
Fixed best I could but still got a problem so I figured I'd just replace pan and maybe put one just a little deeper on it.

I posted a few days ago about rebuilding my 714 diff. The distributor I went with had "green" bearings that I decided to go with because it seemed to make things a lot simpler. I searching around about the rebuild and looking for info I found one comment that said green bearings are for racing...
Obviously more then one opinion on this but where are you guys buying your differential parts?
I'm doing a rebuild on the 741 that's in my Charger including the ring gear and pinion plus all bearings.
The posi unit seems fine.
Obviously like to save $$ but not looking for cheap stuff and good...
Hopefully I figure out something this week.
I think it rear end but could be something else..
Ill let yall know..

I guess my question is that since this rear end is not out of a 68 charger if I get into it and need parts what do I ask for. Like I said before this seems to be an early differential and I know there were some changes made over the years. So I am at a loss as to what specifically to ask for...
