Im a big fan of compression in a closed chamber, quench situation. When you have the heads off, I recommend doing the math and attempt to achieve 10 to 1, maybe up to 10.5 to 1 with head milling and gaskets.

I ran the NHRA conversation table and looks like you are knocking on the door to 10s in the quarter. That is a very uncomplicated combo to run those numbers. Congrats.
I know it’s not cheap to swap, but at least today you have so many options, including aftermarket Dana’s (S60), and the 9” that are bolt in swaps. All you need is a credit card, no junkyard crawling.

My track, Renegade Raceway, has a full schedule. It had almost a full schedule last year too; it’s on the Yakima Nation Reservation which has been fantastic for decades. Usually $20-30 to run. It’s a jewel, and one of the reasons I retired where I did.
