Hey Russ, when I did a brake job on my car I went with after market drums. Got some violent shaking when I applied the brakes. Went back to the stock drums and the problem went away. I couldn’t tell you why but thought I’d throw that out there.
I’ve currently using them on a Roadrunner. I’m happy with them, seem to be quality compared to the first round of crap I bought at NAPA. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
The lugs on my driver front are tach welded in place. I don’t like it but was in the same predicament you’re in. It’s been a couple years and no issues
It could be original, the surface rust, cobwebs and crap makes me think it may be. Goin to clean it up and put new shoes on her. The drums don’t look bad at all.
Getting ready to replace brake shoes but the front (passenger side) brake drum is stuck pretty tight. Any suggestions on how to remove? Already sprayed liquid wrench on it. The others came off with no problem.
Also any recommendations on replacement brake kits?
