Also, take a dead blow hammer(Plastic) and tap the torsion bars forward to fully seat them. You may have paint tightening up the one bar. Make sure you have the retainer clips in the crossmember too after fully seating the bars. Hr20

Yes the manual columns are longer, and power steering columns are shorter. Sounds like you have a power steering gearbox and are trying to use your manual steering column. You guessed it,...it wont work. I recommend advertising on the WTB section for a 70 power steering column for B body...

I also recommend Detroit Eaton Springs. They make them from original blueprints and have been it doing for years. HR 20
