Also, take a dead blow hammer(Plastic) and tap the torsion bars forward to fully seat them.
You may have paint tightening up the one bar.
Make sure you have the retainer clips in the crossmember too after fully seating the bars.

Yes the manual columns are longer, and power steering columns are shorter. Sounds like you have a power steering gearbox and are trying to use your manual steering column.
You guessed it,...it wont work. I recommend advertising on the WTB section for a 70 power steering column for B body...

Hello, I have a set of rear leave springs with part # 2539 212. I checked my 69 parts book but its not listed there, it appears the part number may be earlier than 69?. Can anyone identify this number? I have a set of two.
