FMVSS 209 is the automotive test spec for seatbelts. If they meet that they are always maeked. Usually on a cloth printed tag sewn to the seatbelt webbing.
if not marked they are not tested to that. May or may not meet but why risk that.
Wow. Bad design. I work for the company that made many of the Mopar seatbelts in 60’s and 70’s. We only do aircraft now. But…the square buckle design from American Safety are still in use on a lot of aircraft applications. We test the heck out of these … 20g sled tests are not uncommon...
Washing the nylon seatbelts you should use a bit of woolite if a soap is needed. We have done a lot of studies on cleaning aircraft passenger belts, the degradation can be significant if any chemicals are used. The critical items are elongation and breaking strength.
Legendary...good stuff. I’ve had my full interior on order since early December. They told me May delivery. Did already get front seat foam, armrests and just yesterday carpet.
Might be able to have one made. Mine is cast into the panel using raised “TOP” letters but have seen the sticker too. Never came across that sticker in my convertible part searching. Yours Looks like a metal material adhesive thing.
