Sniper question regarding acceptable lobe separation LSA 108

I know the FITech has that problem but I thought the Sniper did not.. The reason is that the FITech's manifold pressure sensor is only on one side of the plenum and if you don't have a lot of vacuum and running a dual plane intake the pulses cause the sensor to not read a consistent value. A...

    Mechanical Fuel Pump 101

oops! Fixed. Yea no more raw gas smell on deceleration with the dual one barrels on the wife’s /6 now either. The springs I ordered had a 18Lb one that put me at 3.75lbs and it has run perfectly since.

    Slant 6 carb issue

How much slop is in the throttle shaft to carb bore? Doubt if most rebuilds would include rebushing it. I just ordered a new Daytona Universal 1 barrel (actually 2 for the Offy dual carb intake) Holley 1904/1940 clone for the Dart, not going to mess with the factory carbs, everyone says they...

    More fuel tank sending units

The other thing I noticed on my A-Bodies is the length of the arm is MUCH shorter on the replacement which would make it much more sensitive and difficult to get right. Long arm = little move moment on the spring compared to the same amount of fuel change with the short arm.

    Double flare won't seal

Bob all I did was apply a bit of pressure with the second step in the process to see if it had been distorted during shipping. There is not enough material before the bend to cut it off and make a new flare.

    Double flare won't seal

I have no idea if these are stainless or not. They are a VERY shiny metal and not the dull silver color so there is a chance they could be SS.

    Double flare won't seal

Yea I was thinking that too you can feel it grabbing as you turn the nut. I will give that a try tonight. Also ordered a few of the brass cone washers.

    Double flare won't seal

I only got after it once I realizes it was leaking. It leaks really bad, I would not drive it like it is. Guess the best thing to do is take the fuel pump of and figure it out :(

    Double flare won't seal

What do you do when you can't get a double flare to seal? I bought a fuel line for the stub out of a 318 to the filter. For the life of me I can't get it sealed. It will drip constantly when it is running and after you shut it off. I removed the line and pressed it in my Snap on flare tool...

    Fuel economy difference with efi?

If the carb is setup right there will be little difference. Biggest difference it faster starting, no vapor lock, and wondering if you will be in cell service if the ECU or fuel pump craps out ;).... I went with a carb on my daughters Duster after the FiTech on the Coronet (no problems yet...
