After a disappointing search I have decided to try to make some of the more obscure Packard 58 connector housings for the earlier cars. This are the samples I have on order from Shapeways to see how they looks and print.
1) Early Ignition Switch housing (switch in the dash)
2) The classic "T"...
Only if you use the ballast resistor that is suppose to be supplied with it, per the instructions. You really won't get a "better" spark until you go to electronic and use lower resistance of these type of coils. Myself I keep the resistor to limit the current the electronic system needs to...
As an old test light user I can tell you as I have been bit a few times as well. The relay has internal resistance so when you lay on the horn the current is limited. The resistance is large enough that with the test light bulb in series with it there is not enough current to light the bulb...
just ordered a complete set for a 66 Valiant and all 3 other cars have new M&H from Year One as well. Not cheap but are perfect plug and play originals.

Not true, the beginning of scrutiny of auto emissions in LA in the 1950's when I CalTech professor discovered the link so I will bet auto manufacturers started implementing subtle design changes because they could see the writing on the wall the govt would eventually get involved and they want...
I did notice that the 318 had a stumble with manifold port and not with the ported. My /6 I don't have any ported nipples plumbed so I ran off the manifold. It actually comes off idle better than the 318 with ported. I have 12/32/52 degrees on the 318 and 12/30/50 degrees on the /6.
I tend...
This a video that Uncle Tony had the other day that left me puzzled for this reason.... Of course the timing drops back to initial when you accelerate with it hooked to direct, so what? Can someone explain why that matters? I have one car off ported and one car off direct. I don't see any...
