1973 Road Runner sail panel boards

Update on the 1973 Road Runner sail panels. After almost a year of searching I've got a set! Mike at Muscle Car Maniacs has the correct ones that cover the whole rear sail panel inside the car. He went through the trouble to get the first set custom made and they are fabulous. I'm attaching a...

1973 Road Runner Sail Panel Pattern

I know the question has been asked many times about the sail panel boards on a '73 Road Runner. Seems the only answer is to trace the originals and cut your own out of cardboard. However, mine were so brittle that even with being really careful the one that was partially there just disintegrated...

'73 Runner ABC Moparts Dash Pad

Mine was $469 + shipping. There is also a $120.00 core charge for the old pad which is refunded when you return it. https://abcmoparts.com/home/ols/products/1971-74-b-body-steel-dash-pad I did lots of research about the steel core vs. ABS and I'm glad I paid the extra for the steel since they...

1973 Road Runner front seat buttons

Thanks, that's interesting. PUI has a listing wire below the headrest but no vertical listing wires along the bolsters. When I contacted them they said the buttons held down the vinyl and the vertical listing wires weren't needed. Guess I see why people prefer Legendary!

1973 Road Runner front seat buttons

Recovering my seats with a kit from PUI ( I know some people don't like them but I am happy so far and 2 weeks vs estimated 8 months from Legendary ) The wifey and I have redone the upper and lower rear seat along with the lower front buckets. Pushed the buttons through the cover and the foam...

    1973 Road Runner "earmuff boards"?

Good advice since they are really brittle. Since one side fell apart I assume both sides are the same, am I correct?

    1973 Road Runner "earmuff boards"?

Yep, the passenger side is mostly intact and I can use it as a pattern for both. When I took the plastic sail panel off the drivers side first all these chunks of brown stuff fell out and I wondered what the heck it was. We're actually a Deer Trail address but about 25 miles south of Byers, CO.

    1973 Road Runner "earmuff boards"?

Great, I was wondering if cutting my own cardboard would work. Glad to know that I'm not alone in hunting everywhere and coming up empty handed! Thanks!!!!!!

    1973 Road Runner "earmuff boards"?

So a I continue to tear down my car I continue to have questions..... On the rear pillars inside there are cardboard looking panels attached to the body with black push pins. From what I can find they may be called earmuff boards. ( see pictures ) They are sturdier than cardboard but after...

    1973 Road Runner headliner identification

You are right about the "striped" look to the material. I believe Builderguy may have scored finding the correct material for my car.

    1973 Road Runner headliner identification

Wow, that material is so thin I'm amazing it survived! Great that you have a survivor original headliner. Looks like I'll be replacing mine with vinyl.

    1973 Road Runner headliner identification

Nope, no sunroof. It appears to be the original headliner by the clips, etc.

    1973 Road Runner headliner identification

How as I continue to disassemble and research my Road Runner I keep finding things that I'm not familiar with on my earlier B-Bodies. The headliner was missing when I bought the car but as I disassembled the interior I found a fair size chunk left by the rear window. It appears to be a...
