Help with master cylinder/1966 Satellite 318ci

Upgrading is smart......but I just wanted to give you an FYI. You could find that single pot master on RockAuto and other places in the very recent past. I bought a Delco Remy one a long time ago.... maybe a trained eye could spot the diff?? I sure could'nt. HTH, Lefty71

    Leaf spring dimensions

Why cant you jack up the car to the desired ride height and take the measurements??? I would think an experienced shop would know how far to "hyper" them based on the weight ratings of the spring.

Help with leaf spring choice. Pictures inside!

Depends on where you are seeing this. Mopar Performance Super Stock springs are very commonly used on all A-B&E bodied cars, but their front segment length is only correct for A-bodied cars. In order to use them on others, you normally change the front spring hanger to match your vintage and...

Help with leaf spring choice. Pictures inside!

I would call Espo Spring. That looks like stock height to me. Maybe the HD style would last longer for you?? Maybe look at some pix for +1"s.... I'm certain +2"s would put you sky high.

    11" drum brake question

If im reading this correctly, you are asking why the master cylinder wont drain completely when you disconnect only one of the hoses?? Disc brake on tapered axle?

There are inner and outer both..... These bearings are greased.... they need inner to keep the oil off them and outer to keep the weather off them .

    Disc brake on tapered axle?

The only problem that jumps to mind here is the possibility that the originals, being greased might not like the heat the disk generates, but maybe Ford spec high temp could solve that too?? Also, I'm sure everyone knows already, but just a reminder, the OEM bearings for tapered axles are NOT...

    Disc brake on tapered axle?

Why not cut up the old backing plate, and use it to retain the seal?? I've got no experience here, but you can bet I'm filling the popcorn bucket right now lol. ***EDIT** I do have some info on longer studs that work better than the ones in the Caspers (drum brake conversion)...
