    Found a 230 400 block at last!

Jeez.... I hope you are joking. I'll stick with one of the many non-230 400 and 440 blocks that I've kept safe under roof for all these years!!

    Rear separation

I think you are ok,.... not going to break anything.

    Rear separation

Looked like it was doing what it is supposed to. Up to three inches of rise on lighter rear springs would not be surprising. What i can not tell is if it was getting off smoothly. No noises? What concerns you?? The pinion angle should stay pretty steady with HD leaves. The front segments are...

Help! New 572 vibration at 3000 RPM

Well, if you suspect a vibration from the short block, then it's going to be anybody's guess what's going on there. Only the guy who balanced it really knows.

Which website would I have a good chance of finding vintage photos of a specific race car from the New York region?

    I hate Pinterest, but sometimes it leads you in the right direction;

Deeper pinion for a race setup?

 I thought most Fox bodied owners assume those cars car high 9's outta the box lol (til they take 'em to the track).

    Where did my ET go?

Basic troubleshooting to start.... Compression OK? Fuel pressure good?, etc. etc. All we can do is spitball really. Number one failure remains dirty fuel filter IDB. Did car sit in colder weather? Maybe some sediment now?? Best of luck.

Yet another project 62 Plymouth N/SS

Pretty sure I've seen this car in person at the track. Coolness factor of 10 on this one. I don't think i'd paint it overall for as long as you get away with it as is.:thumbsup:

Hard to believe the price difference

I asked because I see Jegs is all over on price per size as well. Maybe not apples to apples is all. Most suppliers get what they can (I know there are exceptions) but thats why diligent research is paramount, and blind loyalty is for fools lol.

Hard to believe the price difference

Are those two different sized pistons??

    Line lock- on rear brakes?

Actually it does make sense, when used as a roll control.... It will help with launch if you use it right. But you still need a roll control for the front, and a switch so you can use front only, or both, at the proper time. The method you describe tho, i dunno....

Solid lift flat tappet cams or hydraulic flat tappet.

Between those two choices only... I'd look at the number of miles per year on the street and how realistic the strip time is. If you plan on road driving A LOT, I'd go hydraulic, otherwise a simple, cheap mechanical setup will be just great.

    509 cam

I agree, but one thing to keep in mind....if you talking truly stock engine.... that's about the largest you can run. Any higher lift and you will start smashing the stock valve seals off.

    Puzzling Super stock spring issue

    Soooo.... how's does it launch??

    Puzzling Super stock spring issue

Honestly, I'd just drive the damn car first.... slowly at first of course, and see what happens.

    Puzzling Super stock spring issue

Since it was just apart and you didn't personally do the work, I would double check the front spring hangers and make sure they are identical....there are many possibilities there and could easily explain that 5/8 inch difference.
