Anyone know how many "versions" of this type of cap there are?? Aside from the obvious Plymouth/Dodge centers?? Are they all 14? Was there a 13" version for A-bodies? Painted differently from year to year??

Google lower cowl for sale, or search here.... Looks for pix, it will explain plenty. Many, many time, you have holes rusted in the floor of the cowl. When you run water in the vent holes by the wipers, it should drain out at the back of the fenders.
Probably.... different materials always show slight variations, and the light from that big back window adds another dimension as well. Then Gold is also a very strong offender in that department!! Google some Charger images in Gold interior.... almost all of them support what you have stated.
The things Pnora are telling you are accurate, and good advice. If everything he says checks out, then I wouldnt be too surprised to find that the sender is shorting internally (ohm readings are inconsistent, or inaccurate).
To me, a locked up motor is almost meaningless, especially if we are talking about a truly rust free car.....and that's all the accountant or bean counter in me talking.
They are out there, the single post style, but 2-3 times the cost of the three prong. Mancini has just the special gasket and seal if it's not bleeding right thru the switch, you can fix it for $4 or less.
Agreed. No one wants custom speed parts that dont quite fit the bill. But keep in mind that you can make it work either way, meaning if you want, just buy a late converter if you choose, pull your trans, grab a late model core and make it an early/late hybrid. It would not cost that much.
Easiest way is check the PK number stamping. Its on the pan rail lip on the drivers side right under where the oil cooler lines and the shifter/kickdown mechaninsm is located. Numbers are only a 1/4" high, just above the pan itself. Let us know what the number is (7 digits) or google it and...
Sounds awesome. I would not drive it in Ohio in the winter, no way, no how. Leave it for spring, make other arrangements, do anything other than drive it this winter!! Undercoating it will not save you by any means. There are nooks and crannies you can't possibly reach, but will surely...
