So twice in this thread I have posted my ideas without actual experience. I now HAVE tackled this task and can offer the following with first hand experience:
I moved the axle rearward approx 1-1/8” to make room for a 30” tall tire (29.5x10.5 PBR). I accomplished this by working with US...
My 67 Satellite has a horn ring that is a full 360*. Every other 67 I’ve seen has the top section open like the one in the op here. Anyone have any ideas on this????
Haven’t done it, but have thought about it. I imagine you could simply cut the frame rails for the springboxes at the desired location. Then use a 1” (or whatever dimension the adjustment is) spacer plate at the flange that locates to the stock bolt facing location.
When I bought this car, the ONLY non-stock item on the entire car was a new dual exhaust system; complete street type of system with 2-1/4” tube and Flowmaster 40’s. Since the , I have added a set of of Hooker 1-7/8” Comps with 18” of 3” head pipe off the collectors leading to a set of 3”...

I have not used it, but for years I have read and heard that US Cartool is pretty much considered the gold standard for this sort of stuff. They specialize in Mopar unibody chassis kits. I like the fact that it locates the spring-boxes off the stock bolt hole locations, so there’s almost no...
:thankyou: It’s not as fast as most race cars, but it is still a very comfortable and reliable street car while at the same time being a damn competitive bracket car. I’m pretty happy with what it is; and it’s gonna be a lot faster this coming spring! I haven’t said much here or over on...
It literally makes no sense to mini-tub if you don’t also move the springs. The stock spring location is tighter than the wheeltubs to begin with. The two procedures should go hand-in-hand. US Cartool makes a complete kit for mini-tubing and moving the springs.
