Who printed/stamped them? Duratech? McCloones? Doubt Spartek would have done those. I used to know folks at all of them....but they're probably all retired (or worse) by now.....

From his home/private property, or stored somewhere? The former = probably an "inside job": someone who knew the car previously. The latter - any prick and his two dirt-bag buddies that happened across it.
Certainly anything is possible, but that tag would still be troublesome - Where did all those option codes come from? A regular Lynch Road tag would have listed the 26" radiator and the N96, but probably not much beyond that, option-wise. Maybe the console? 69coronetrt would have a better...
This a "semi-professional" chop-shop job from back in the day or something? Copied a St. Louis (or wherever) tag and just changed the VIN digits? Knew enough to swap the 150 speedo, but not enough to know what N96 and or H51 are?

Here's another link to a sale that was about 1000 before the last one - 9750mi. In this listing. the car has a 3.23 8-3/4 (you can see the flange and weld in this pic), so the Dana was swapped in somewhere between then and now. There is a contact number on this one, too...
