My Charger just got a brand new stock exhaust

Well as i said i ordered everything from ecs-exhaust.com which sell chrysler licensed reproductions. I dont know if these mufflers are also used on hemi cars, i bought what is correct for my car which is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with 440/727 combo.

My Charger just got a brand new stock exhaust

The car is already back in storage since the weather is still pretty bad here where i live but i can try recording it next time i pull it out. Dont know how good it will come out on an iphone recording though.

My Charger just got a brand new stock exhaust

Everything except the (stock) exhaust manifolds and chrome tips is new from ecs automotive / ecs-exhaust.com. It looks great, sounds great * and also fit perfect. Would definitely buy again. :) * On that note i have to say its also louder than i would have expected a stock exhaust to be but i...

My new mufflers do not fit

I'm pretty sure @fc7_plumcrazy knows the answer to this question. :) I GUESS you would have to order the parts through them and i'm not sure if this brand/products would qualify for purchasing through them. I ordered parts from moparshop.com in the past but only stuff from their online store. :)

My new mufflers do not fit

I meanwhile bought the ECS Exhaust and it will approximately arrive between January-February next year. :D I already have the mufflers and i think the car deserves it. If it wasn't so original i would have just ordered 2 cheap new mufflers with the right dimensions.

My new mufflers do not fit

Because i didn't know. I never really looked close at it and just assumed it's original.

My new mufflers do not fit

Turns out he already answered but the email did not go through. Well yes shipping to germany isn't possible so i will have to use a freight forwarding service, pay even more and wait forever unfortunately. :D Well but i can't accept a non stock exhaust on this nice original car so i have to bite...

My new mufflers do not fit

I did that before and that's an option. But freight forwarding by air will cost to much and sea will take half a year. So i will go with a shared ship container if need be but if ecs exhaust could ship directly to germany that would be faster than sea and cheaper than air forwarding. If they...

My new mufflers do not fit

Does someone have a "direct connection" to ecs-exhaust.com ? I sent them 2 emails, first on 10/06, last 10/10 and got no response so far. It's mainly regarding shipping to germany which they might not offer but it would at least be great to get a response...

My new mufflers do not fit

Well i could complain all day about things i hate in germany that are better in the united states. - Too many rules - Too many things your not allowed to do - Too much bureaucracy - Politics - Taxes - Mindset of most people - Most stuff is more expensive than in the united states while people do...

My new mufflers do not fit

Well i'm not an expert on this subject i'm just echoing what i've seen on tv. Seems like those rules mainly affect newer cars and we have more options / freedom with classic cars. But don't you still have to get TÜV approval "Eintragung" if you modify your exhaust system on a classic car?

My new mufflers do not fit

Today we looked at the car once again and came to the conclusion that with the right pipes and hangers the mufflers should fit. So i'm looking to buy exhaust parts TODAY. I already have the correct mufflers and exhaust manifolds. Before i place an order can someone confirm A: there is nothing...

My new mufflers do not fit

Yes i already noticed that myself. Do you think they also bent the tailpipe somewhat towards the muffler? (So it's closer to the muffler) I mean i first have to take another look at the car in person but i already tend strongly towards buying all new pipes, clamps and hangars. Basically...

My new mufflers do not fit

Are these the clamps you used to connect the mufflers with the pipes? https://www.ecs-exhaust.com/products/1966-71-mopar-saddle-clamp-2-25 So with a stock exhaust i just buy 4 of these, no welding required? In my case the mufflers are just welded in. Not sure if the manifold to muffler pipe...

My new mufflers do not fit

You have to get the car inspected every 2 years or so. During that inspection they also look under the car. But i agree most will probably have no idea what they're looking at. In big cities like Hamburg the police is pretty agressiv though from what i've heard. If they think your car is too...

My new mufflers do not fit

Let me put it this way. If i win a bunch of millions in the lottery then i will move to the united states. :D

My new mufflers do not fit

Plan is to go back tomorrow and try fitting the muffler once again. Again, these would be the correct pipes for my 1969 dodge charger r/t 440/727 in case i decide on replacing them, right? https://www.ecs-exhaust.com/products/1968-69-b-body-w-440-cid-engine-h-pipes...

My new mufflers do not fit

Could that possibly be the problem? Also i'm thinking about buying new pipes instead of modifying the old ones. These should be the correct ones for my car, right? https://www.ecs-exhaust.com/products/1968-69-b-body-w-440-cid-engine-h-pipes...

My new mufflers do not fit

Well as i said the pipes are not necessarily the problem (but we might would have to modify those). The main problem is that the muffler appears to be to long, there isn't enough space given how the floorpans are shaped. But looking at pictures it seems that they get installed at an angle (not...

My new mufflers do not fit

I ordered 2 of these mufflers to replace the broken ones on my 1969 dodge charger r/t. https://www.ecs-exhaust.com/products/1969-70-mopar-b-body-muffler-chrysler-licensed-product After cutting one of the old mufflers out and trying to install a new one we noticed that it does not fit! We would...
