Okay, I see the internal depth difference now! I will have to dig into my files but the glass was bought from a very reputable company, and more expensive than most. I even bough the smoked pieces, they look great. I appreciate the help gentlemen and will give this a try. Mocajava
I have the new "whiter" versions and have sanded them down to less than half the original thickness. I have also rounded them down to a point but haven't addressed the width. I am guessing NO ONE would recommend trying to flex the original channels, I am afraid of bending the chrome exterior or...
To all
I ordered and received new windows for my 2 door, 69 Coronet. I also ordered the new sets of plastic "shims/slides" for the door windows. I had to pull windows several times as the windows were very tight going up and down in the curved channels. Every time I removed them I would take...
I have a 2 door 1969 Coronet hardtop that was totally stripped down and rebuilt. All of the seals and weather stripping were removed by PO before I got the car. All has been made new and now the rebuild goes on. I ordered the correct seals for the doors (from front of door at vent window to...
I bought that template while I was in Alaska for my 69 Coronet, used it and passed it on to someone in the lower 48. If I could remember who I sent it to, I would pass on there name. Put your request on the Want to Buy section here, maybe another generous soul will pass it on as I did. Mocajava
Thanks Wagonman, if the blue ones are OEM as I suspect, that will take care of back window! The ones I got from RTS are for rear and different, don't have the rubber disc on back and I am told their quality is not there. Sure wish someone has some type of chart or pictures that would help me...
I need the experts on this one and detailed help. Putting together my 69 2 dr/HT Coronet, getting ready to have front and rear glass installed. when I bought the car it was partially torn down. ...5 years ago. removed front and rear glass at that time and bagged the parts. Flash forward to...
I figured out the biggest part of the problem..I was sent wrong year model whiskers! I was sent 66-67 Coronet whiskers, totally different. Contacted DMT and they are shipping me the correct ones now, should be self explanatary after that. Thanks
Well I fortunately saved the old whiskers (most anyway) and started on the rear quarter glass area. I elected to rivet the internal felts in place vs trying to replicate the staple scenario on the removable panel/ wing. All that went well after I realized that factory had removed part of the...
I am putting back together a 69 Coronet and recently ordered a full set of ignition, door and trunk lots from Classic Industries. These are pieces of garbage as the door locks will only let me lock but not unlock the doors! They only will go in one way (I tried to reverse them) and even sitting...
69 GTX Since I just got a bag with 8 pieces and no idea which ones go where, I am at ground zero. Are all the pieces made to the exact length or do some need to be cut to length? If all the pieces ARE made to exact length, I can probably figure out which ones go where by matching against...
Received the cat whiskers the other day but now am looking for some instructional help in putting them in place correctly....the first time! Since they were already removed from the car when I got it, I really have no reference as to placement and how they are mounted and no type of instructions...
I also got the Soft Seal vent window set up. I have been very happy with all of Soft Seal's products for fit and quality, I get all my rubber goods From Detroit Muscle Technologies.
