There is also something called Tiger Seal...Tiger something..... I have used before that works very well too. Takes a couple days to semi harden and looks original....minus the factory paint brush!
Not to get off subject BUT..... what is your rim size , tire size and back spacing for your beauty? That really looks nice with width of tires, rim style and stance!
I am building a 1955 Belair but will have to sell her. My body man passed away with cancer at about 90% done and that is where the project stopped. This was a full frame off rotisserie job and new sail panels installed along with 56 fender wells just toe able to get the 13# wheels off the rear...
That is one gorgeous car! I am impressed with the craftsmanship and extent you go to make it as perfect as can be. I had a 68 Bee in high school , original from factory and mine wasn't half the car you have built.
Just emailing Pace/ Johnny and he is shooting me prices on the system. Will hopefully end up with a 485 stroker from a 383, 2 barrel engine with Fitech sitting on top!
That is a beautiful BEE and it was great being able to follow your build in such a short time. Now go show a rice-burner what REAL American Muscle can do!
Beautiful RR and I like the tires and rim set up. Can you give me tire sizes and offset for your rolling stock? I will be watching this closely as I have wanted a Fitech from the start and really interested in your process. I am in Alaska so the cold start issue is a big deal for me and this...
Okay, I would like to get this straight BEFORE I go order and ship stuff that won't work. The 69 Charger and 69 Super Bee use the SAME lower left and middle dash pad.....correct? Not having access to a 69 Charger here, I have no way to compare.
At PG Classics they told me the 69 Charger lower pads they make DO NOT fit the SuperBee or RT. I would much rather believe you then the Pakistani guy at PG Classics. If the charger pads would fit I can keep moving on this build with the dash I want. Thanks you sir!
I have a 69 Coronet 440 w AC and a perfectly good set of dash pads. I want to modify the dash to include an insert with better/larger gauges and wonder if I can retrofit an RT or Super Bee lower and middle dash pad onto my dash to gain the extra room above? I can't seem to find anyone that...
Moparnation, I really appreciated the offer. I was a welder for 30 years and can and will build this piece myself easily. I thought I would save an hour of my time and just pay a nominal fee to get an exact reproduction shipped to my house. The whole process just struck me wrong and pissed me...
I guess more of a bitch session then anything else... had to get it off my chest.
I found out I was missing the simple support rod that goes between fender and frame on right front quarter panel on my Coronet. Hit the web sources and called _ _ _ to get one coming. Sure enough they had it...
This is a great thread with the amount of work you are doing and the way it is documented for us all to see and keep up. I wish I had done the same and need to be more vigilant in taking pictures and explaining how I proceed on me 69 Coronet. You are doing a great job and I applaud your...
I love B's and especially that color! The only person that matters is YOU so make the car the way you will be happy with. I have a 69 Coronet 440 that I am making MINE and don't really give a damn what pleases all the onlookers. They aren't going through the pains of a restoration or the...
I did the wheel barrow trick on my 55 Belair when installing the LS 3. Worked great and saved a ton of time. Do your layout and cut sections out of the center of the tub (in a vertical mode) to add or subtract material to get the right width. Look around at different tubs to get the steel...
