I taught my son how to weld on this small project. I used 1/2" pins to locate the K member. That is a TCI/4L80 tranny with a bullet proof bell housing mated to the 383 block (in upper picture). I use engine/ cherry picker lift to raise car as most do, slide under and drop in bolts....pretty...
Looks awesome and I am sure you wish you could have done it 5 years ago...I'm so jealous. I am teetering between using money to finish my 69 Coronet OR spend it on building the garge . Chicken or the egg right! Love to have the garage built to fish the car but you can't drive the garage!
Good post as I did the same thing to get a tank full out of my Coronet. The pump worked great and YES, the hose they provide is about a one time shot. Replace the hose as suggested and it will be a worthwhile tool for future use. Thanks for posting this!
I am sooo jealous and the plans look amazing. After my second divorce I had to look for a place for my son and I. The three car garage plus lift sold me on the place I have now. It was really cool to NOT have to bend to someone else's whims. Congrats and looking forward to the finished pics.
