    Hagerty insurance

I have had Hagerty for 18 years. They used to be great, knowledgeable people on the phone, quick response, fair rates. I have never had a claim and never been late on my annual payment. Rates have gone up recently and it seems that they have now gone to a call center. The last two times I...

Should i remove my fender tag?

When I take a fender tag off to work on a vehicle, it and the screws immediately go in the envelope with the title, in the gun safe next to the loaded .45. All safe.

Should i remove my fender tag?

The tag disappeared off my '71 Road Runner at a car show about 15 years ago, at a Mopar only show no less. I did the screw and lock nut program on my '68 GTX.

    Firm Feel Torsion Bar Identification

If they are longer ones 43.5" for later '73-79 B bodies and you don't want them, I may be interested depending on diameter. Thanks

    Steering column bearings - Rip-off!

Check out an SER205-16-1 bearing. About $12 on e-bay. I have used a couple of them in place of the OE lower plastic bushing/seal setups. They don't look stock but are alot more solid.

What's the first car that you drove over 100 mph?

My Mom's 1970 boat tail Riviera with a 455. Snuck it out when I was 15.

Where are people buying their pushrods?

Another vote for Smith Brothers and they are only 20 minutes away from me.

When running a return loop fuel system with a stock tank...

It's kind of hard to see in this picture, what I did was: Installed an aftermarket sending unit with 1/2" pickup. Drilled a hole in the tank above the level of the pickup tube outlet and installed a AN fuel tank bung for the return line. Has been working good- no issues or leaks. I will try to...

    2 questions

As far as cleaning the manifold- this has worked really well for me:

    Inexpensive car dollies

I thought I would share the front and rear dollies that I built from stuff laying around the shop, some E-bay casters and couple hours of fab work. The front is a beat up k-member that I had cut the motor mount off of with 3' of 3" square tubing and a a pair of 6" garage sale swivel casters. I...

Aftermarket 4 speed pedals & shifter rods

Has anyone used the aftermarket 4 speed pedals and shifter rods from PG Classics. I was worried about fit and if they were as strong as the OE parts. I don't want to have them bend with a heavy clutch or a hard shift. Thanks

Looking at an early build 472 Hemi- need input

I was thinking somewhere in the $8500 range. Were there multiple rocker options on the early crate motors? I could still buy a new block and be in it for OK money.

Looking at an early build 472 Hemi- need input

So if I can buy it at the "right" price assuming it's basically a core, is it worth it for the parts?

Looking at an early build 472 Hemi- need input

I am looking at buying an early build (2001) MP 472 Hemi. It is new and has never been fired. I have heard that the early engines had some problems. It's not a cheap proposition so I am looking for a little advice. Anybody have any first hand experience with these? Thanks
