Dont take me wrong. Its a neat looking car but the more door following isnt that large and you can get into a 2 door car from that era needing paint and interior for 3k-4k if you look around.
For budget friendly headers check out Summit Racing. They have their own branded headers that have the heavier 3/8 flanges. We got a set for my sons Camaro and they look identical to Hookers but a lot cheaper. I haven't looked to see if they have a set to fit your car yet. Check it out
You just need a fresh set of eyes on the car. Frustration sets in and a guy cant think straight. Find someone to help you out. I know there are a bunch of mopar guys in WI. Get some beer and cheese curds and you'll have more help than you know what to do with!!
How about a pic of that balancer? Is it internal or external balance? Need to sort that out before moving ahead. Out of balance would more noticeable under load/accelerating.
Any plug wires crossed? Shorting out (run motor in the dark and look for blue arcs)?
Just thinking out loud...
That blows my shock theory! Time to slide the tranny back and check things out. I wouldn't do the 80 thing on the stands again. Your problem might hit the floor and bring good parts with it!!
