I think enough people have successfully burned avgas in high performance cars to know that it works. Remember, although planes fly high up, they are usually at their highest power setting during the take-off run on the ground.
Anyway, lead in avgas is going to be on its way out as well.
I have read a couple of magazine articles featuring a 1971 early build Charger that was built with the 1970 'GO wing' instead of the gull wing, perhaps the proper wing wasn't immediately available in the assembly plants.
The Plymouth, with it's more sloped back window was still a lot better than the 1968 Charger at high speed. Plymouth won three times as many races that year. The Charger was the real brick.
True enough, but if you then include total b bodies to include the Coronet 4 door and wagons, Dodge sold 206,851 compared to Plymouth's 218,204 Satellite and road runner production.
Kern, you may not be a big fan of the 3rd generation, but you have to be looking in another direction to say you can't see any 'coke bottle' styling in that generation.

As for the Chargers, I prefer the 73-74 back side window shape over the 71-72. It's hard to tell by looking that the 71 was actually a few inches shorter than a 70, they...
Todays lower Reid Vapour Pressure numbers in gasoline mean that the fuel will actually evaporate slower. A lower number doesn't mean that it takes less pressure to evaporate, it means that less pressure is developed by evaporation at 100 °F. The reason for the lower Reid numbers is to reduce...
Well, you have to remember that after 1970 the two door Coronet was gone, so if you wanted a Dodge two door intermediate sized car, the Charger or SuperBee were the only choice so that probably helped sales as well.
He did an amazing job of fabricating to get that whole package together, and didn't take a long time to do it. I was impressed anyway when he had the whole project here on FBBO. 1972 Plymouth Satellite Tesla Swap
As for weight, he does mention a 4500 pound estimate in that thread, if it...
