Aluminum "steel looking" wheels by Bogart.

Especially since the band got their name from the steam powered dildo that William S. Burrough’s mentioned in his novel 'Naked Lunch'.

    Old NASCAR was the best!

I didn't even know that Richard Petty ran in IROC.

    Old NASCAR was the best!

Richard Petty's first return to Nascar was July 25, 1965 after Chrysler had finally built the required 500 street hemis to homologate them for racing. He entered fifteen races for the end of that season, winning four of them.

    Old NASCAR was the best!

Nope, just their trucks and some models of Lexus. You wouldn't have seen the Toyota Century over here, it wasn't exported to America and anyway most of them were V-12 before 2018.

    Old NASCAR was the best!

GM and Ford had did compete; Ford developed their 427 overhead cam engine and Chevrolet had the 427 "Mystery Motor", when the 426 Hemi was banned those other two were banned as well. The Ford engine was banned first.

    AGM Batteries

I've had some 'dead' ni-cads that I successfully recharged that way too. Battery charger has spaces for two, so pop in a good one and when the charging light goes on, insert the stubborn one and it'll charge up.

Unfortunately, Richard never raced that (or any) Plymouth again after 1972.

    Earnhardt's 1975 Charger

Nascar allowed the old styles because nothing else was competitive from Chrysler. Richard Petty used the 1974 Charger through to the end of the 1977 season.

    standard or mushroom lifters

Back in the day, it was more common for the Chevy guys to use mushroom lifters. With their .842 lifters, they needed to catch up to the .904 Chrysler size.

    Cut-outs causing super lean mixture????

Changing the back pressure also changes the signal at the carb. I once bought a 455 GTO with lots of holes in the headers, it ran lean and terrible - hesitation, backfiring, no power. Just putting on new exhaust and no other changes made it run like it should have all along.

    Weight transfer

You could also try 90/10 shocks which allow the front to lift faster on initial acceleration but let the front end back down as you pick up speed down the track.

    Muffler or Not?

If your mufflers stink, you may have a carb problem.

    How do you do burnouts?

Yes, that's hard on the over-run sprag clutch. BUT if you select '1' on your shifter it applies the rear band which takes the strain off the clutch. The rear band isn't used when in 'D'.
