On the base car, the column shift auto might have been an upgrade over the manual transmission, I don't know for sure. To me it's the unique shape of the car that I like, so other than that they're all great in my eyes. If it was me, looking for a nice reliable driver, I'd be happy with the 440.

Whether you have the cast scoops of the GTX or road runner, or the Chrome of the Sport Satellite, or no scoop inserts at all, the quarter panel sheet metal is still the same. I'd look around for a hard top, not the pillared coupe.

I like both white and black with purple, but white does look sharp and is cooler in sunny weather. If you already have the white interior, then white roof is my vote.

I didn't think any Daytonas had a vinyl roof of any colour.
