It has nothing to do with Buick. Bricklin is the manufacturer. It was made in Canada but not for very long. Based on an AMC Javelin chassis and with an AMC 360 in 1974 it was compared favorably to Corvette. But in 1975-76 they lost the 4-speed option and the powerplant was about 40 hp. less...
