Yeah, R/T is correct about there being a leak somewhere. I had one of my lift cylinders start to "weep" and my pump got really loud with the air bubbles. Look for a little oil spot under the lift cylinders....and along the lines, especially the fittings, while you're at it

FYI - if you get into a pinch, you can make one of those rods out of a coat hanger or a similar rod from another car by bending it. I ran mine like that for years on one door....but the factory rod is MUCH easier

I think these guys above me know. I "thought" the 70 Roadrunner 383's with A/C got Holleys and were rated at 330hp instead of 335hp (or something like that?)

Most likely the new speedometer cable isn't greased. I would want to slip the cable out & spray it down with a graphite spray (I'm about to do this on mine). I do have to say that Darter6's idea about greasing the back of the speedometer with Vaseline sounds like a really, really good idea...
