And there's the obvious stuff, like 340's never came in Chrysler Newport. Maybe you could cross reference which cars were made at that plant in 1970 & narrow it down.

Information like a VIN number would help you A LOT. Also, original motor, rear end info would help too. Was it a hemi or 440 six pack car?

I completely understand. If the car still exists, it shouldn't be too hard to find 1968 Dodge Super Bee Hemi J-Code. 1 of 125 made, 1 of 94 automatic. That's from the ad for the '68 Hemi auto bee. If those numbers and my math are correct, that makes only 31 '68 Hemi 4spd Super Bees ever...
