That is a very common problem with these as far as I have seen in the aftermarket world. I understand the expense part of redoing an original but how much is YOUR time worth. I would have sent it out and had a new core put in it. I know it's your time only but sometimes you need to put a value...

Yes I know about Part numbers so if it was a 1959 the part number would start as 19..... This is a mid 70's unit by the part number. So are you saying this one is a universal mopar replacement for many other numbers? Where that list came from who knows. These have different lengths on the shafts...
Going through some parts today and found this.. No info on the net. Has a blue seal. I am thinking 1975?? Any information appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you are careful getting the nuts off in the engine compartment. You can bust them out of the fiberglass housing if they are seized. I have cut the nuts off with a cut off tool just to insure not breaking them off and then bought new nuts..
