Thats because a real 1970 racecar has the wheelwells slightly modified and then stuffed with wide rubber.
They are rare because they were a limited production.
They built the minimum amoin t of vehicle required.

Looking around you can see some 66-68 knobs on factory literature and filmstrips for 1969 model year but they didn’t come on the cars that way.

They painted Pete Hamilton’s nose red to tell the Petty team cars apart quickly. Maybe why they did this to street birds. It looks good, and you can quickly tell it from a Daytona from a distance.

This is so hilarious.
Plenty of folks were at the reunion and saw these wing sitters in action. Yes it is real, no photoshops. We have seen people do this for the past 5 decades with no damage.
But let’s think this over. The wing was ENGINEERED to do what it does, not just slapped on there...
