mineral spirits works for a long time. Gas is good too, but seems to have risen on price for some odd reason.

yeah if your not concerned then a worm clamp is easier and cheaper. Best of both worlds. Enjoy your version, just know it’s crap to the restoration people.
Those are factory on fuel filler hoses. So if you are correctly restoring a car then you would want these clamps. I have some original hoses and clamps on cars that are working fine 54 years later.
You are torquing the bolt. Thread locker does not change that. It just keeps them tight.
Loctite doesn’t say to do this in the instructions. This is a crazy idea, let’s hope it dies off.

Rotate the engine clockwise with a 1 1/4” socket on the balancer attaching bolt while running the drill CCW. This will line up the holes for the rocker shaft oiling. You will need to go around twice to do it.
End up on #1 pushing out air on compression stroke line up timing mark with 0 on...
Depends on what is underneath them and the ground water. You definitely need gutters and get that roof water away from the area.
