Finally finished my air conditioner compressor it took me a fair while only because i got carried away but what a great way to learn how these units work as i had no idea about A/C prior to building this system i've built everything from the under dash box to the compressor.(warning)Evil bay is...
Sorry guys correction on those barbs turns out the hoses has no barbs and need to be weld on as originally thought, which was no problem as they are done but i decided to replate the steel pipe work which will be ready in a few days and then I'll return them back to the hose guy to re crimp the...
That's the breaks unfortunately but there's always ways to get printed numbers off i have a chemical which i use in my trade which remove paint and marks off cloth that don't damage the cloth may also work on the hoses
found a guy today who is doing my hoses he said using the old barb on the original pipe work isn't an issue done loads of them with no issue so good news if anyone is thinking of replacing the hoses only difference will be the ferrule crimp is slightly different but hey I'm pretty happy with that
Hello guys thanks but i found my answer today the barb ends do have to be replaces as the new type hose won't seal the the old type barb ends so they need to be cut and braze welded on
Hello all just wondering has anyone ever repaired the original hoses by just replacing the ferrules & hoses as i'm not sure how these hoses are put together as all the video's i see they cut the steel lines then braze the ferrule with barb ends on but i found this video were he just cuts the...
Hello all it's been a while since i started collecting parts for my A/C finely got most of my parts but the compressor crank shaft seals just checking if the seals are the same for the RV2 & V2 thanks ahead guys cheers
You should try shipping to australia and wait at minimum 1 month for parts it's madness. I'm doing a full rebuild on a v2 compressor at the moment & I've sourced all the parts nos one by one yes i'ts cost a crap load but in the end i know it won't be another horror story with these so called...
Hello all just wondering if anyone knows the correct torque settings for a v2 compressor head bolts and conrod bolts & i suppose any other settings needed when rebuilding a compressor thanks ahead guys look forward to everyone's reply's
Most automotive dealerships are now using reverse osmosis water here in Australia as it's the purist water you can get which is mostly non corrosive as the RO system removes almost all minerals ,chemicals and impurities producing around 20 litres of pure water to 80 litres of waste depending on...
Thanks all for your reply s but now I'm really confused as this description is the opposite to what has been said ?

Hello guys just wondering if anyone makes reproduction air conditioner hoses for our old Mopars not to suit after market units but the original set ups
Thanks i knew that's what you said originally but the front clutch bearing got thrown into the mix somehow which fried my brain . i've done a web search & still unable to find any matching bearings for that 1994152 number even on the the link you provided, is there any other interchangeable...
yes i did see your post #2 i'm sorry but this is confusing me as i always thought a clutch bearing was on the front of the compressor with the field coil and pulley not on the rear of the crank shaft
