Seven hundred miles of the car bouncing on a trailer? I would worry about flexing the inner fenders, possibly the firewall? You could possibly be in a position where once the car is done, the front end guy might have a problem getting the car aligned. You might have issues lining up fenders and...
If A12's are awesome and 512's are awesome.... then it would stand to reason that a 512 in an A12 would be even more awesome.
Go for it, to hell with any "purist" might think.

The cell phone credit card theory works too. It just seems kind of foolish to wait for a flatbed to arrive and tow you home for something...
I have a '67 Belvedere. The wipers park in the correct location, about 1 inch from the cowl molding. The wipers however do not sweep all the way over to the A pillar, they stop about 5 inches away from the A pillar. I tried to rotate the wiper arms one spline on the studs; then the arms do not...
I have a '67 Belvedere. The wipers rest where they are supposed to when the wipers are shut off. When the wipers are on, the arms do not seem to travel as far to the left, (driver) side as they should. See attached pictures. My question is: Is there an adjustment to fix this issue? Do I have the...
I love mine. The modular design makes it infinitely adjustable for fit. So, it did take some time to get everything to fit properly. However, it was worth the effort. I used the factory knobs and bezel. I have two 6x9's in the rear, a dual cone up front in the factory dash location, and an 8"...
I am looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade the 318 in my '67 Belvedere. I am considering going with a 360 crate motor. I found two builders online. Does anyone have any experience with either MABBCO, (they have an Ebay store) or TRI STAR ENGINES? I kind of want to stay away from the Magnum...
The issue with the BFG's going brown has been discussed pretty in depth. I went with the Micky Thompson Sportsman ST's have have been very happy with the whiteness of the white letters, (not to sound racist). For cleaning, I use the Mr. Clean Stain Eraser.
I have a similar thing going on on a 318 w. A/C. The bottom radiator hose covers the timing mark on the left side of the motor. I can find it, but only from one very narrow point of view.
I need a spare tire for my '67 Belvedere. What size will fit in the well in the trunk and still allow the fiberboard cover sit flush with the trunk floor? I would like the tire to be narrow enough so the fiberboard sits flush with the trunk floor, but wide enough to touch the fiberboard to...
Watch out for the cogs on the outside of the belts if you have an idler pulley that rides on the outside of the belt. The ac belt on my 318 whistled like hell until I changed to a belt with the cogs on the inside
I have a '67 Belvedere with a very mild 318, (340 cam and a 4 barrel) and an automatic. The car has been upgraded with a Pertronix Igniter III. It all started the other night. When I came to a stop, the car stalled. When I tried to re-start it, it seemed like it was out of time, (kind of an...
Thanks to everyone who replied. I put a new lifter in it, put some break in oil in it, went through the break in procedure. That seemed to do the trick, no more tick. Thanks again
