Is the O ring you speak of the one for the heater valve to core seal?

Who carries the correct O ring and the heather control valve to heater body gasket for a 1964 Plymouth Fury?

The water valve is where the reduction is. The inlet on the heater box is 1”, the outlet on the heater valve is 1” but the inlet on the heater valve is 5/8”..

Car is in storage so I can’t look at it. Hot water control valve for the heater is bad and non working and needs rebuilt. Can the valve be removed without removing the heater box. It’s a non A/C heater box and will have to be removed for rebuild once it warms up.

I do think they still use the vacuum to operate the doors.

I haven’t removed my heater box as of yet but I’m sure it’s going to need a water valve and a new heater core. I already have a vacuum valve from Anthony but still need to check the vacuum actuators and fan motor.

Had to replace one like that last summer, put an WTB ad for what you need, that’s what I did.

IF that is the problem it would need replaced but let’s hope it’s just the heater valve.

I would check on FCBO and see if someone has one.

I would think you shouldn’t have an issue, normal outlet is on the drivers side. Once you have it bolted on the block everything should bolt right up.

Did you check the depth of the hole compared to the length of the bolt allowing for the thickness of the pump?

No it won’t make any difference if you buy a new one, just make sure you get a new gasket too, it will just run a little warmer. Who knows, maybe that’s all they could get, you will be ok. Check all the hoses while you are at it.
