I bought a turquoise set for my 64 fury still in a box. I’ve opened it, but I haven’t installed it. it looks pretty nice. I got the extra padding on it for sounding deadening.
I took a couple of photos of areas of the vinyl not exposed to the sun to see what the original color may have been. Top one was taken in the sun and the bottom one was taken in the shade.
I went to Herbs and looked at the charts, there are a couple that are somewhat close but trying to match colors on a computer can be tricky. I sent them some photos on the hope they can match it up.
I am trying to find a turquoise vinyl dye for my dash pad hopefully in a spray can. I ordered the pad primered so it’s ready to spray once I can find the dye.
My 1964 Fury has a two part horn ring, one part sits on top of the other. The finish is near perfect on both rings except the ring closest to the steering wheel is cracked. I am assuming both rings are pot metal but would like to know if the cracked ring is repairable. I would also like to know...
Just replaced the roof rail, quarter window seals and trunk lid seal on my 64 Fury and bought Metro, nice products. I think there are only a couple producing the seals that others are selling.
When I bought my 64 the PO had installed new roof rail seals but had installed the left on the right...
The extra rubber seal that you have on your car doesn’t look like it was made for that purpose. It looks like it’s broken down much worse than your original seal and appears like it was made of a different material.
