    a 600 isint to big, would work fine... i have a 625 on my 318 and works much better then a 500 i have tried.. More get up...

    Finally got a regular 4 speed for my 71 roadrunner.

    If it had the A-833 in it with just a overdrive, you shouldn't need anything to put another in it, its strange you have the shifter in the E-body position in a B-body car, ive never seen that.. or im forgetting something, oh boy and the day is starting.. Good luck with it! :)

    I have a 9.25 in my 73 that works good, i have a set of 410 gears to put in it if i ever get it done but i do think they are a good backside for these old cars...

    Im afraid you just have an open differential, there is always a chance the rear end could fail but more then likely its just not a sure grip...
