Welcome and hope you may get lucky. Few years ago at the request of my cousin’s daughter, I went on the hunt for my departed cousin’s ’64 Polara 426/4spd he bought new at Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. Even have the VIN for it, but came up empty and finally gave it up. Lot can happen in half...
Wow! Was hard to watch being one that gets bugged by too much stuff around to deal with. He’s got an inventory worth its weight in gold. Hard to imagine he had the time to collect it all, much less build cars. Un-friggin-believable!
Good luck with your hunt. I had searched for eons for my cousin's 64 Polara 426/4spd he bought new having the VIN and sticker...no luck; but a lot could have happened in a half a century. BUT, there have been success stories posted on our forum.
Hope you get luckier than me finding it. Been searching for my departed cousin's 64 Polara he bought new for years. His daughter has the trophies he won and records she'd like to pass on to the owner. Too many years have gone by now since he had it and odds are it was rusted, wrecked...
All the best of luck with your search. I have been looking for my departed elder cousin's '64 426/4sp Polara for his daughter he bought new on and off for years. Not even a glimpse of any luck having the VIN. Odds are the car was crashed, rusted to chit (mid-west car) crushed, or maybe the...
Could try, if you haven't, some local Plymouth clubs assuming they're around yet. There was one in my area that I think was Plymouth Club of WI or vv. Got to know a member and he was a walking Plymouth encyclopedia. Always meant to join; but this was years ago never did. Might be one in your...
Could hope odds are a bit better for you coming from an area of the country where salt wouldn't rot the car to crap. Been looking for my departed cousin's '64 Polara 426/4sp he bought new in Chicago - rusty belt region, for his daughter to get some photos of it if still around. No luck...
Wow your dad's car reminds me of the one I bought as a demo in '74, a '73/340, same body color. This pic was taken around '75 or '76. My future wife snapped it while I was polishing it up.
I've tried to locate my departed cousin's 64 Dodge 426/4sp he bought new at a Chicago dealer posting the VIN. His daughter was curious as he raced it at several strips in IL, IN, and WI and she has a lot of photos of it with the trophies. Who knows it could a been wrecked, rusted to ****...
I'm going to do some net surfing to see if there's a Dodge registry. Who knows, after decades it could have been wrecked, or crushed, or parted out. My cousin has been gone geez, 12 years now, but his daughter wondered about her pop's car as there's a bunch of trophies, time slips, photo's...
I posted this year or more ago and thought I'd give this another try just in case someone might have info on my departed cousin's Dodge 426/4speed. The window sticker is below.
He raced this car winning a bunch of trophies around the IL/WI/IN drag strips and not sure how many years he had the...
I posted the search elsewhere on the forum with no luck so thought I'd try this section before giving up. I'm wondering if my cousin's '64 Polara 426/4spd he bought new may have survived after all these years. He's gone some 10 years already; but his kids are wondering. The sticker shows the...
